My family lives in a house that is 100 years old. It has a great deal of charm along with some idosyncracies. The repairs are constant. The upkeep never ends. Every once in a while our house provides quite a bit of excitement.

Dutch Elm Disease is rampant in Minneapolis. The city, in its infinite wisdom has decided to aggressively go after the problem. But in the cheapest way possible. This means at the merest sign of DED showing on an Elm, they cut the whole tree down.
