What would be even better is if I could make Google Calendar do it but alas there is no way I could find to achieve this. If there was/is then I would be able to check my calendar from my phone or anywhere and know how many days remained and what day of training I needed to be on.<br /><br />Life gets busy and I miss a day or two of training. Getting back on track is much easier if I know where to pick back up again. This little gem will help me do that with ease. Don't have a specific time because I haven't charted out my training schedule. This far out I'm sure it won't matter a whole lot. So long as I am smart about my pace and keep my feet under me I should be alright.<br /><br /><br />I've got Qik on my phone so recording and posting videos will be MUCH easier than the last time I Luke picked me up at the airport in a borrowed car. A quick stop at the Hilton to pick up our race packets. We got our race shirts there which is a new one on me. I'm used to having to finish a race before getting my shirt.<br /><br />My watch recently lost its wrist band. I had been carrying around the watch face in my pack. For the race I wanted a new watch. A couple of stops later and I found an acceptable one for $15 at Rite-Aid. I really wanted to support the local five and dime. Right at the end of capturing some time lapse of a building, Walter approached me. We started out talking about the Sears warehouse and retail store.</p><p>Soon conversation changed to what Walter was doing now. The video cuts out so I don't have the rest of his story on tape. He had a grocery sack tucked under his arm. He told me that he was headed over to a garage to spend the night. The owner told him it was OK for him to crash there.</p><p>Walter said he was enrolled in some classes at Urban Ventures. He told me he was trying to get his life back together and to get off the streets. I asked him what I could do to help him. He asked me to pray for him. We both did right then and there in the parking lot of the Midtown Exchange at 9:30 at night.</p><p>I have no idea where Walter is today. I am happy to have met him and heard his story. </p><p>Only a few days remain before the Eugene Marathon. I had just started a little online service called <a href="http://sketch-it.blogspot.com/">sketch-it</a>. At the time I didn't know what to call the feature. I constructed a name that was inspired by <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARUvdhnm4GQ">Professor The Internet</a>. </p><p>I performed this video to the song C.O.F.F.E.E. by Ralph Covert to get things started. The original idea was to have people send in audio files that I would act out using the Mr. Sketch-It mask.
